Welcome!
I am excited to share with you my passion. I have been making pottery since the third grade. I was introduced to my first experience in ceramics by my elementary art teacher, Mr. Rick Sigler, an amazing man. I continue to love ceramics, it balances my life and allows me a unique outlet for my creativity.
I began my ceramics career at St. Anne's Episcopal School, then continued while at East High School. With my passion completely consuming me I could not give it up and pursued my Bachelor's of Arts in Ceramics at the University of Colorado, Boulder. The facilities provided for students was amazing I have yet to obtain such a heavenly place to create again.
After College in no time I was introduced to the Bicentennial Arts Center where I have connected with other passionate artists. Jim Sebastian has become my new ceramics guru. I can be found weekly in the studio.
Throughout my time doing ceramics I have circled through different areas of focus and obsession. At times fixated on Raku fire, Teapots, Hand-built pieces, and Functional pieces. Working with a variety of clay bodies I constantly come back to Earthenware. I do from time to time use porcelain. My creations are constantly changing and growing. I love to have new ideas presented to me. As a traveler I use my experiences to inspire my creations.
I hope you will take time to look through my work and if you find something you like let me know!
